Calibration and metrology are indisputably linked.
Metrology, or the science of measurement, is a discipline which plays a crucial role in supporting modern society. It is not only concerned with measurements that are made in everyday life, such as in shops or at the petrol station, but also in industry, science and technology.
The technological advances of today’s world would not have been possible without the contributions of metrologists worldwide for maintaining accurate measurement systems.
Calibration entales the process of comparing the indication of an instrument or the value one of material measurement (e. g. weight) with values of measurement standards at specified environment/work conditions. During this process of instrument or material measurement, a correction factor may also be determined or adjusted.
TTMS specialises in electrical, temperature and pressure calibration.
