Signaltec Current Transducers

The Signaltec High Precision Current Transducers offer exceptionally high accuracy and performance for measuring both direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) in a wide range of industrial and R&D environments. These transducers are designed for applications requiring reliable and accurate current measurement, such as in power generation, electric vehicle technology, power electronics and factory automation.

With current ratings from 100A to 2000A (optional 5000A) and a wide frequency range, the transducers deliver accurate measurements with minimal measurement errors, even at high loads. Thanks to their robust construction, they can withstand overloads of up to 20 kA for short-term spikes, making them suitable for demanding and dynamic electrical systems.

High measurement accuracy

Each transducer provides high measurement accuracy for both DC and AC signals with a bandwidth of up to 2 MHz (depending on the model). Accuracy ranges from 0.0008% to 0.002% for DC measurements, depending on the model selected. The transducers feature a fast response time of only 0.2 µs to 1 µs, which is essential for applications requiring the measurement of fast transients.

The Signaltec current transducers use advanced technology to ensure low phase shift and minimal measurement errors, even at higher frequencies. This makes them ideal for use in power electronics, where accurate synchronization and minimal delay are critical.

Application of transducers

The transducers are used in conjunction with a current meter. These current meters have either a current input or a voltage input where we can set a conversion factor of mV/A. For this we can use both passive and active burden modules, depending on the desired output voltage. They can be easily integrated into an existing measurement or control system and are equipped with various output options, including mA and mV signals, depending on the model.

These transducers can be used with the Signaltec TPS II series single channel system, the MCTS II multi-channel system (up to 6 channels) and the Redcure systems.

Designed for long-term reliability, these transducers can be used in both indoor and outdoor environments with temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C. They are also resistant to environmental influences such as moisture and dust, making them ideally suited for harsh industrial applications.

ISO 17025 calibration is optionally available for both AC and DC.

High accuracy, speed and flexibility make Signaltec High Precision Current Transducers a critical component in any system where precision and reliability are paramount. Contact us for more information on how these transducers can contribute to your measurement needs.
