The Signaltec Redcure PowerLens is an advanced measuring instrument for high-precision current and voltage measurements, designed to provide accurate data in demanding applications such as End-of-Line testing, calibration processes and power/load systems. Thanks to its integration with EtherCAT® and CAN bus, the PowerLens combines unmatched measurement precision with modern communication standards for real-time data acquisition and control.

High accuracy and versatility

The PowerLens uses 24-bit ∆Σ-ADCs with clock-synchronised sampling to capture current and voltage values with an accuracy of 0.005% for current and 0.0075% for voltage over the entire measurement range. With a single voltage range of ±1,500 V and a current capacity of ±2,000 A (when combined with the SIGNALTEC CT-2000), the PowerLens provides the precision required for critical applications.

This measuring instrument is equipped with advanced analysis capabilities, including counting electrical charge (Q+, Q-, ∆Q in Ah) and electrical energy (W+, W-, ∆W in Wh). The Redcure PowerLens supports real-time monitoring and automatic detection of overloads via the connected transducers, ensuring safety and reliability.

Integrated overrun detection of AD converters, with visual indication via an LED, increases measurement reliability in dynamic environments. Users can adjust offsets manually or automatically, providing flexibility in specific test scenarios.

With support for both EtherCAT® and CAN bus, the Redcure PowerLens is easy to integrate into existing industrial and test environments. Via EtherCAT®, averages of current, voltage and power values can be transferred, as well as arrays of multiple measurement points for bulk transfer. For CAN bus, the system offers configurable message IDs, a bit rate of up to 1 Mbps and a minimum cycle time of 1 ms.

The PowerLens is designed for easy installation on a DIN rail. It operates on a wide supply voltage of 9-36 V DC and has a low power consumption of only 5 W plus that of the connected sensors.
