Home » Itech IT-M3300 Regenerative DC Electronic Load
The Itech IT-M3300 Regenerative DC Electronic load is part of the versatile IT-M3000 series. These ultra compact DC loads accommodate relatively high power and high accuracy in a very compact housing of ½ wide 19″ rack module of 1U high.
The IT-M3300 regenerative DC electronic load, available in 200W, 400W and 800W, can not only simulate different load profiles, but will also return the absorbed electrical energy back to the local grid instead of converting the absorbed energy into heat. And this principle contributes greatly to the high power density of this series of loads. Currently there are 12 models available, suitable for voltages up to 60V, 150V, 300V and 600V. The current ranges are 3A,6A, 12A and 30A. Striking about the IT-M3300 series loads is the standard programming resolution and measuring accuracy.
This regenerative electronic load is therefore extremely suitable for battery discharge tests, testing multi-channel DC power supplies and in endurance tests for semiconductor aging, for example. Depending on the application, the following operating modes are available: CC/CV/CP/CR, CV+CC/CC+CR/CV+CR / CV+CC+CP+CR. A major advantage in battery cell and battery pack testing in particular is the fact that the IT-M3300 is standard equipped with a temperature measurement function, suitable for an optional temperature sensor. For higher powers or multiple load channels, up to 16 units can be synchronized or placed in a parallel setup. Remote control is possible via one of the 5 optional interfaces including; RS232, CAN, LAN, GPIB, USB_TMC, USB_VCP, RS485 and analog.

ABB
"The ABB Power Grids Jumet organisation is an innovative development and production facility of ABB that manufactures active filters and battery energy storage systems to support a stable grid. To test these systems we have acquired two Cinergia GE/EL +120kVA eplus units capable of doing grid emulation (AC + DC), operating as an electronic load (AC +DC) and being a battery emulator. We have experienced very good support from TTMS in obtaining these two Cinergia units. This included organising an on-site demonstration and supplying loan systems prior to the delivery of our final systems. This way we could start testing as early as possible. TTMS also organised training for the operators from the original manufacturer. This support allowed us to introduce the first battery energy storage systems even prior to the full delivery of the Cinergia systems."

“At the Energy and Environment department of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) of the University of Luxembourg we do have different research projects related to green energy contributing to the development of eco-cities. As a long-standing partner of our research unit, TT&MS has proven that they are able to answer even the most complex questions in a professional manner. They have shown that they are always up to date with the latest technology and do not spare any effort to look at the application and even the situation on site. The exchange of ideas was always very pleasant and took place quickly. We look forward to further years of fruitful cooperation.”
