Besides the standard waveforms (sine, square, triangle, pulse, and serration), arbitrary function generators offer a freely programmable waveform possibility. Virtually any conceivable waveform can be generated. For example, this may be a combination of the standard waveforms, but also a calculated waveform, such as a sine wave with many harmonic components or a waveform recorded with an oscilloscope or digitizer. Therefore, an arbitrary function generator (abbreviated as AWG) always deals with a certain memory capacity, a maximum sampling rate, and a given vertical bit-resolution.

TTMS offers AWG’s from NF, Rohde & Schwarz, and TTi AWGs, that offer excellent performance with maximum sample rates up to 16 GS / s with 16-bit resolution and 4G sample memory.
We also offer models with multiple synchronized channels and extensive internal and external modulation capabilities.
In addition to the stand-alone arbitrary function generators, we supply AWGs at card-level in form factors PCI(x), PXI, cPCI, and LXI.
