The Magna-Power MagnaLOAD ALx series DC loads 1.25 kW – 20 kW are available in 27 models. The ALx series has a 16-bit resolution for programming and measuring functions of these DC loads. It is suitable for voltages from 200Vdc to 1000Vdc and currents from 60Adc to 600Adc. Use of these ALx series loads is possible in CV, CC, CR and CR modes and comes in a 19 inch housing with a height of 3U up to 24U.
The integrated Arbitrary Waveform Generator allows the user to freely define load profiles in which the following setpoints can be programmed:
Magna-Power not only has an impressive line of DC power supplies but also the MagnaLOAD product line with programmable DC loads. The ALx Series, ARx Series, and WRx Series consist of 39 water and air cooled models from 1.25 kW to 120 kW+. They are suitable for voltages of 0-1/000Vdc and 0-1.200Adc. All MagnaLOAD models feature the MagnaLINK™ DSP controller, contributing to impressive functionality. The Magna-Power DC loads are standard equipped with a 25-pin D-Sub connector for external I/O. This connector has 8 Digital Outputs, 4 Digital Inputs, 4 Analog Outputs, 4 Analog Inputs and is user configurable.

"The ABB Power Grids Jumet organisation is an innovative development and production facility of ABB that manufactures active filters and battery energy storage systems to support a stable grid. To test these systems we have acquired two Cinergia GE/EL +120kVA eplus units capable of doing grid emulation (AC + DC), operating as an electronic load (AC +DC) and being a battery emulator.
