Spectrum M4i series expansion
Spectrum has further expanded the M4i series High speed digitizers with new high speed digitizers. In addition to the 14-bit 500MS/sec digitizers and 16-bit 250MS/sec digitizers, there are now the M4i.22xx series of 8-bit digitizers.
The M4i.22xx series consists of 9 new models with a maximum sample rate of 5GS/sec at a bandwidth of up to 1.5 GHz. The cards come in single-channel, dual-channel and four-channel versions. The on-board memory is 4GSample which allows relatively long sampling times.
Specifications
The basis of the M4i cards is a PCI express x8 Gen2 PC interface. This interface guarantees extremely fast data transfer from the card to PC memory (3.4GB/sec). Optional in the M4i.22xx cards is an average and peak detect option available that allows you to reduce your amount of data before sending it to the PC.
Standard nowadays are also the different data acquisition modes like ABA (sample speed switching), FIFO mode (continuous data storage), segmented recording (very fast re-arm time) and gated sampling. Various trigger modes are also possible, including pulse width triggering and logic triggering.
Through a starhub module, up to 8 M4i.22xx cards can be synchronized, creating a 32-channel data acquisition system, where all channels are thus sampled synchronously. Of course, you can fully control these cards with Spectrum’s standard SBench software. In addition, drivers are available for Labview, Labwindows and Matlab. SPCM drivers for Windows and Linux, and software drivers for Visual Basic, Borland C++, Visual C++, VB.Net, C#, J# and Delphi are also included as standard.
Detailed specifications of the M4i series High speed digitizers can be found in this here the datasheet.
