The Yokogawa PX8000 Precision Power Scope combines Yokogawa’s expertise in power measurement with the advanced functionalities of an oscilloscope. It is the world’s first power scope that performs accurate time-based power measurements, ideal for research and development in energy efficiency, motors and power electronics. With its high accuracy and versatile capabilities, the PX8000 offers a complete solution for measuring both electrical and mechanical quantities.

The PX8000 can simultaneously multiply voltages and currents, providing real-time power measurement. This feature supports both transient measurements and numerical values averaged over the measurement period. The 100 MS/s sampling rate and 20 MHz bandwidth allow the PX8000 to make accurate measurements at high frequencies and for rapidly changing signals, such as those in inverter systems.

One of the unique features of the PX8000 is its ability to measure power waves over specific time periods. This makes the device particularly suitable for analyzing transient phenomena in periodically controlled equipment, such as motors or power generation systems. Using the start and stop cursors, specific parts of the waveform can be analyzed, providing valuable insights into, for example, the energy consumption of devices in different modes.

Simultaneous harmonic measurement up to the 500th order, together with extended FFT analysis, makes the PX8000 suitable for frequency analysis in complex systems. This is particularly useful when testing inverter and motor systems, where harmonics and noise can affect performance. The PX8000 makes it easy to identify and correct these disturbances.

The isoPRO™ technology provides breakthrough isolation performance, making the PX8000 well suited for applications such as developing high-efficiency inverters operating at high voltages and large currents. With the ability to store up to 8 channels and up to 100 M points of data, the device can make long-term measurements at high sampling rates, making it ideal for detailed trend analysis and system optimization.

The 10.4-inch TFT color display allows users to view up to 16 different waveforms simultaneously, providing a clear view of performance. The PX8000 also offers extensive connectivity options, including Ethernet, USB and GP-IB, enabling seamless integration with data collection systems and remote control.

The Yokogawa PX8000 is designed to help engineers and researchers obtain accurate, time-based power measurements. This device offers unprecedented precision and reliability for complex power analysis in R&D environments and manufacturing processes.
