The Spectrum M5i.63xx-x16 series of arbitrary waveform generators are 16-bit digital-to-analogue converters. There are single- and dual-channel versions, with sample rates up to 10 GS/sec. Up to eight cards can be synchronised in one system. All cards in the M5i.63xx-x16 series have 2GSample on board memory as standard. This is expandable up to 8GSample memory. In FIFO mode, it is also possible to stream data from PC memory to the memory of the M5i.63xx-x16 card. In a PCI express-x16 PC slot, this can be done at a maximum speed of 10GB/sec.
Available models
The M5i.63xx-x16 series consists of 4 different models:
Model | Bandwith | 1-ch | 2-ch |
M5i.6357-x16 | 2,5GHz | 10 GS/s | 5 GS/s |
M5i.6350-x16 | 2,5GHz | 10 GS/s | |
M5i.6321-x16 | 1,5GHz | 3,2 GS/s | 3,2 GS/s |
M5i.6320-x16 | 1,5GHz | 3,2 GS/s |
Besides the one or two analogue channels, this card also has four multi function I/O channels.
All Spectrum arbitrary waveform cards also have capabilities like Single shot, Multiple replay (segmented memory), Gated replay and sequence mode. With the M5i.63xx-x16 cards comes a comprehensive package of software support. Drivers for Windows and Linux operating systems (32 bit and 64 bit) are included.
Sample programmes and drivers for C/C++, LabVIEW (Windows), MATLAB (Windows and Linux), LabWindows/CVI, IVI, .NET, Delphi, Visual Basic and Python are available. A basic licence of the Spectrum software SBench 6 and SPEasy generator is included as standard.
