ITECH IT8200E Regenerative AC/DC Electronic Load

The Itech IT8200E is an advanced regenerative AC/DC electronic load, designed to enable efficient, environmentally friendly and highly accurate testing. This device is perfect for applications such as solar inverters, electric vehicle that can also feed energy back (V2G, V2H), energy storage systems and UPS systems. With a regenerative design that feeds energy back to the grid, the IT8200E offers not only excellent performance but also significant cost savings.

The IT8200E series is an extension of Itech’s IT8200 series with even more power in a small 3U high enclosure. The IT8200E units support powers up to 21 kVA per unit, expandable up to 1 MVA+ via master-slave parallel connections. This makes it possible to achieve high power levels without sacrificing flexibility or accuracy

The IT8200E offers comprehensive test modes such as constant current (CC), constant resistance (CR), constant voltage (CV) and constant power modes (CP and CS). The built-in Circuit Emulation (CE) mode allows simulating 14 different load profiles, such as parallel RLC, single rectifier circuits and more complex topologies. In addition, it supports AC load phase shifts of up to ±90 degrees and adjustable crest factors from 1.414 to 5.0.

Advanced measurement and analysis capabilities

The IT8200E is equipped with harmonic analysis tools up to 50th order, allowing users to measure voltage, current and total harmonic distortion (THD). The device also features a digital oscilloscope function with a sample rate of 10 µs and can display up to six waveforms simultaneously. Thanks to the data logging function, test data can be continuously recorded for up to 7 hours and exported for further analysis.

Thanks to its regenerative design, the IT8200E can return captured energy to the grid with up to 88% efficiency. This minimises heat generation, lowers operational costs and reduces the need for extensive cooling infrastructure.
