With the introduction of the IT6600D dual-channel programmable DC power supply, Itech not only introduces you to the latest technological innovation in power density, but also sets new standards in functionality and ease of operation. The Itech IT6600D units have a particularly high power density of 42kW in a 3U mainframe. This is achieved by using the latest, 3rd-generation, SiC technology. This makes it possible to realise a power density of up to 420kW in a 37U 19-inch cabinet. In parallel mode, power is realisable up to as much as 10 MegaWatt! A single unit has two independent, isolated outputs, each with a power of 21kW. Both channels can also be combined into a single channel with a total output of 42kW. Here, the channels can be switched either in series or parallel mode. The current model IT6642D-1200-200 can therefore be used as a two-channel power supply 2x 600V/100A/21kW, or 1x 600V/200A/42kW or 1x 1200V/100A/42kW.

Thanks to the powerflex principle of this power supply, you have the maximum power available over a wide voltage range. For example, the 1x 1200V/100A/42kW configuration still delivers the maximum power of 42kW at 420V.

Operation

The easy operation comes from the 5-inch touchscreen including a clear menu structure with, in addition, a keypad, arrow keys and a rotary knob.
The separate measurement function gives you accurate measurement data on the opaque 5-inch colour display. Of course, the IT6600C power/load can also be controlled remotely. A CAN, USB and LAN interface is provided as standard. Ethercat, GPIB and RS232+ Analogue are options. Thus, this series can also be used in test systems with professional test software to meet more complex test requirements.

Redundancy function

An important new feature is the redundancy function. When in a multi-unit setup (N+1, N+2…) a unit fails, the IT6600C system will deploy the redundant unit to guarantee the output power of the whole system. The IT6600C series brings the user a new experience during high-power testing and provides a valuable test solution for R&D, verification and production testing and contributes to higher efficiency and accuracy of the testing process.

This future-oriented design therefore makes the IT6600D series the ideal choice for demanding test areas.
