With the introduction of the Itech IT6600C two-channel bi-directional programmable DC power supply, Itech not only introduces you to the latest technological innovation in power density, but also sets new standards in functionality and ease of operation.

The Itech IT6600C units have a power density of 42 kW in a chassis only 3U high! This particularly high power density is achieved by using the latest, 3rd generation, SiC technology. This saves significantly on laboratory space and space in a 19’ cabinet. With the IT6600C series, it is possible to realise up to 420kW in a 19’ inch cabinet of 37U. In parallel mode, a power output of as much as 10 MWatt can be realised!

An important new feature is the redundancy function. When in a multi-unit setup (N+1, N+2…) a unit fails, the IT6600C system will deploy the redundant unit to guarantee the output power of the whole system.

Source & Sink function

A single unit, with a height of 3U, has two independent, isolated bi-directional outputs of 21 kW each. The IT6600C has both a SOURCE and a (regenerative) SINK function, allowing one unit to perform two completely different test tasks, simultaneously. Channel one, for example, can be used to test inverters, while channel two is aimed at evaluating battery performance. Both channels can also be combined into one bi-directional channel with a total output of 42kW. Here, the channels can be switched either in series or parallel mode.

The current model IT6642-1200-200 can therefore be used as a bi-channel power supply 2x 600V/100A/21kW, or 1x 600V/200A/42kW, or 1x 1200V/100A/42kW.
Due to the powerflex principle of this power supply, you have the maximum power available over a wide voltage range. For example, the 1x 1200V/100A/42kW configuration still delivers the maximum power of 42kW at 420V

The IT6600C series offers a variety of operating modes and functions. Consider not only a Constant Voltage and Constant Current mode but also a battery simulation function, battery test function, PV simulation, automotive testing, IEC testing, etc. A separate measurement function gives you accurate measurement data on the 5-inch colour display. Of course, the IT6600C power/load can also be controlled remotely. A LAN, USB and CAN interface is provided as standard. GPIB, Ethercat and RS232+ Analogue are available options. Thus, this series can also be used in test systems with professional test software to meet more complex testing needs.
