Itech ‘s IT2700 series is an advanced multi-channel modular power system designed to provide maximum flexibility and power in a compact 1U high enclosure. This system is specifically designed for situations where multiple power sources and loads are required, such as in the design verification, manufacturing and test processes of DC-DC converters, semiconductors and battery related applications. The system offers unprecedented performance with extremely high power density and versatility, suitable for a wide range of test and simulation needs.
The 1U mainframe accommodates up to eight modules of 200W each or four modules of 500W each. The modules can be combined and synchronized as desired, and include options such as bi-directional DC supplies, regular DC supplies and regenerative loads. The modules are available in a maximum voltage range of 30V, 60V and 150V. This provides a high degree of flexibility, as users can mix and match different types of modules to meet their specific needs.
Key features.
- High power and flexibility: A single 1U unit supports up to 8 channels, each with a maximum power of 500W and voltage up to 150V.
- Modular design: Users can select different module types, including DC power supplies, bi-directional power supplies and regenerative loads, depending on the requirements of their device under test (DUT).
- Advanced test capabilities: With features such as battery simulation (BSIM), automatic mode switching between constant voltage (CV), constant current (CC), constant power (CP) and constant resistance (CR).
- Extensive communication options: The IT2700 is equipped with LAN, USB, CAN and digital I/O interfaces, making it easy to integrate into various automated test systems. The system supports SCPI protocols and provides free PC software that allows users to manage and monitor up to 8 channels simultaneously through a simple Web interface.
- Efficiency and accuracy: With a dynamic response time of only 140μs and accurate measurement functions (up to 50kHz external data recording), the IT2700 offers unmatched test performance for high precision applications. The system can perform accurate calculations for power values (Wh), current consumption (Ah) and also offers features such as data storage and display via a built-in oscilloscope.
Wide range of applications
The IT2700 series can be used in a wide range of industries, from semiconductor manufacturing and battery development to testing of 3C products such as smartphones and printed circuit boards (PCBs). The built-in battery simulation allows users to perform battery tests, simulating the battery in different charge and discharge states. The system also supports motor protection, where automatic shutdown occurs if a fault is detected.
Safety and protection
The modules are designed with comprehensive protection features, including protection against overvoltage (OVP), overcurrent (OCP), over power (OPP), and oven temperature (OTP). In addition, the modules include built-in relays to prevent reverse connections, discharge, and voltage spikes, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
Additional features
- Arbitrary waveform generator: The IT2700 supports the generation of complex waveforms such as steps, trapezoids and synchronized waveforms for advanced tests.
- Synchronization and serial on/off function: With the ability to synchronize power delivery per channel or enable and disable in series, the system provides complete control over the order in which components are tested.
- Data logging and display: A built-in oscilloscope function allows users to monitor and store voltage and current in real-time, with display options for up to six waveforms simultaneously.
With its compact size, high efficiency and versatility, the IT2700 series is the perfect solution for both research and development and manufacturing environments that require robust and accurate power supply testing.
