Itech IT-M3100D programmable dual-channel DC power supply

Itech’s dual-channel IT-M3100D series is available in power ratings of 200W and 400W per channel. The housing of only 1U half rack makes this DC power supply a very compact model, but while maintaining high stability, resolution and precision. The programmable IT-M3100D is available in two adjustable voltage ranges of 0 to 30V and 60V. This makes the IT-M3100D series a very suitable series for compact multi-channel setups in applications in R&D labs, production environments and automated test systems.

Multiple channels with independent or synchronous control

The IT-M3100D dual-channel DC power supply is specifically designed to operate in a multi-channel setup where all channels can be controlled independently. This can be done very easily with the clear manual user interface, but for automating systems with multiple IT-M3100Ds, we definitely recommend the control software included. Each channel is clearly displayed and can be controlled and set separately. If synchronous operation is required, this is also possible. For simultaneous testing of multiple ‘Devices Under Test’ with the same test requirements, 3 possible synchronisation modes are available On/Off, Track and Duplicate.1 channel is set and easily duplicated to the other selected channels. With the On/Off function, the channels are then controlled synchronously or switched off with a configurable delay between channels if required. A 37U high cabinet can accommodate up to 40 IT-M3100D power supplies and 80 channels, offering enormous flexibility in a very compact setup.

Safety first

The IT-M3100D has numerous security features such as OCP / OVP / OTP / OPP / U-Max/U-Min. The power supply is also equipped with a Sense and a Foldback function. This Sense detection function is going to signal an alarm in time and switch the output to Local when abnormalities are detected. The Foldback protection is mainly used to protect sensitive test objects from voltage and current spikes during CV/CC switching. To eliminate power overshoot, the IT-M3100D also features a Constant Current priority function. In turn, the Constant Voltage priority function allows faster voltage rise times to be realised.

The IT-M3100D series can be equipped with the most common communication ports such as USB,LAN, RS232, RS485 and analogue ports or GPIB. The freely available software ensures user-friendly power supply control, making data import, storage and export a simple task.
