Itech IT-EC7800 Programmable AC/DC Power Supply

The Itech IT-EC7800 Series is a powerful and versatile programmable AC/DC power supply. Thanks to the use of Silicon Carbide (SiC) technology and a high power density design, the series delivers up to 6 kVA in a 2U chassis and up to 15 kVA in a 3U chassis. This makes the devices compact and efficient, without compromising on performance. The series features a built-in high-precision power meter and an arbitrary waveform generator. This allows complex waveforms and harmonic simulations to be easily performed, while comprehensive data analysis is immediately available. The intuitive LCD touchscreen ensures user-friendly operation and allows real-time waveforms and measurement values to be viewed.

Features and capabilities

The IT-EC7800 offers a wide range of features that make it suitable for a variety of test environments. The output power ranges from 2 to 15 kVA and the voltage up to 350 V L-N or 606 V L-L. The frequency range runs from 16 to 1000 Hz and can be set accurately. There are four output modes available: AC, DC, AC+DC and DC+AC, allowing for both pure AC/DC outputs and combinations with offset or ripple. In addition, the series supports harmonic analysis up to the 50th order, programmable output impedance and simulation of grid disturbances via Surge & Sag or List mode. Communication is flexible thanks to built-in USB, CAN, LAN and Digital I/O, with optional interfaces such as GPIB and RS232. Protocols such as CANopen, Modbus, LXI and SCPI are fully supported.

The IT-EC7800 is used in a wide range of sectors. In the new energy sector, it is suitable for testing charging stations and onboard chargers. For household appliances such as air conditioners, microwaves and washing machines, it offers reliable simulation of grid conditions. User-friendly design

The modern touchscreen combines a clear interface with physical controls via buttons and a rotary knob. Users can adjust parameters and display styles, save waveforms and analyse them without an external oscilloscope. This makes the system particularly suitable for testing inductive, capacitive and resistive products, as well as for UPS tests in accordance with international standards.

With a height of only 3U for 15 kVA and 2U for 6 kVA, the IT-EC7800 offers an unprecedented compact solution. This saves space and reduces laboratory equipment costs, while significantly increasing the efficiency of test setups.

Model overview

The series includes various models, ranging from 2 kVA to 15 kVA. For example, the IT-EC7802-350-10U delivers 2 kVA at 10 A, while the IT-EC7815-350-90 offers a power output of 15 kVA at 90 A. All models are available in single-phase or three-phase configurations and combine high performance with a compact height of 2U or 3U.
