new Multi function Calibrator from Meatest
Meatest has introduced the M-9010 / M9010+, a Multi function Calibrator for electrical quantities. This, electrical calibrator, is characterised by a basic accuracy of 10ppm for the model M-9010+ and 35ppm for the model M-9010. And is thus ideally suited as a universal standard for electrical calibrations at calibration and quality laboratories.
With the M-9010 series of calibrators, it is possible to cover a large part of the workload. This includes, for example, multimeters up to 6.5 digits, Ohmmeters, Ampere meters/current clamps, power meters and power analysers, energy meters, transducers, insulation testers, process meters and oscilloscopes. The relatively high load current of 50mA also makes this calibrator suitable for the calibration of analogue meters.
In addition to standard waveforms, the M-9010 can also generate harmonically distorted signals as required when calibrating power quality analysers. The M-9010 and M-9010+ feature a 20A and 30A current source respectively, enabling the calibration of power/energy meters up to 287kW or even 1,575kW. Furthermore, insulation testers up to 1.5kV and oscilloscopes up to a frequency range of 1.1 GHz (option SC1) can be calibrated with this new series of Multi function calibrators.
On the other hand, all popular functions are available, including full transducer and external sensor calibration capability (strain gauge, pressure, torque, force, and so on). The built-in multimeter, suitable for VDC, IDC, R and Frequency, is available for this at the same time as the source functions.
When designing the M-9010 calibrator, careful consideration was given to user friendliness. This has resulted in an instrument that makes calibrations easy and straightforward to perform. Each function has its dedicated button and all relevant details such as total uncertainty, limits or connection diagram are displayed on a large LCD screen.
OPERATION
The M-9010 / 9010+ can also be operated remotely via RS-232, GPIB, USB or Ethernet and thus be part of an automated solutions (full communication API is described in the user manual) or in Meatest’s WinQbase/Caliber automated calibration systems.
