The MagnaPower TSD8-10000 is a programmable DC power supply from the renowned TS Series, designed for applications where there is no room for compromise. With a power output of 80 kW, an adjustable voltage of 0–8 Vdc, and a maximum current of 10,000 Adc, this power supply delivers robust performance in even the most demanding industrial environments.
Optimal performance thanks to smart power electronics
The core of this system is built around an advanced current-fed power converter topology. Unlike conventional designs, this architecture offers an extra layer of protection and stability. Reverse currents, core saturation, and short circuits are effectively absorbed, ensuring that the power supply continues to function reliably—even under highly variable loads.
Thanks to the integration of IGBT and MOSFET circuits, the TSD8-10000 combines fast response with minimal heat losses. SiC semiconductors are used in selected configurations, further increasing efficiency and power density.
Intelligent control with full integration
For engineers and operators, the TSD8-10000 offers extensive programming capabilities via the SCPI protocol and seamless integration with platforms such as LabVIEW™ and IVI drivers. The power supply is equipped with an isolated 37-pin I/O connector, allowing analog control, status feedback, and external triggers to be safely connected. This makes the system ideal for automation and real-time monitoring.
Compact, cool, and resistant to harsh conditions
With its standardized 16U rackmount design, the TSD8-10000 integrates effortlessly into existing industrial racks. The optimized air cooling system operates autonomously and efficiently, eliminating the need for additional space for ventilation between units. This ensures reliable operation at ambient temperatures of up to 50°C, even in compact configurations.
