Rohde & Schwarz has expanded its portfolio of oscilloscopes with the new RTA4000 series. A great addition to the already extensive range of oscilloscopes.

The RTA4000 series of digital oscilloscopes offers a bit more of everything:

  • The input amplifier has a very low noise floor, which makes it possible to measure accurately with 0.5mV/div.
  • Digitization is done with a 10-bit AD converter, which makes the signals much more accurate than with the standard 8-bit oscilloscopes.
  • The oscilloscope has a standard 200MSample memory (optional 1GSample).
  • The time bases have an accuracy of 0.5ppm.

The measured signals are made visible on a large 10.1 inch high resolution touch screen display. Due to the high resolution and the large memory it is possible to zoom in on the signals to make every detail visible.

The base unit has a bandwidth of 200 MHz which can be upgraded to 350 MHz, 500MHz or 1GHz. And of course there are many different trigger possibilities.

Besides oscilloscope, the RTA4000 is also a logic analyzer, a protocol analyzer, a spectrum analyzer, a frequency response analyzer, a power analyzer, a waveform generator and a pattern generator.

A very versatile instrument for now and for the future with all expansion possibilities which can be added later by means of licenses. For more information about the RTA4000 see the datasheet.

"The ABB Power Grids Jumet organisation is an innovative development and production facility of ABB that manufactures active filters and battery energy storage systems to support a stable grid. To test these systems we have acquired two Cinergia GE/EL +120kVA eplus units capable of doing grid emulation (AC + DC), operating as an electronic load (AC +DC) and being a battery emulator.
