Home » Vitrek PA910 High precision power meter
The power meter Vitrek PA910 is a new model from the PA900 series of power analyzers. It stands out for its versatility, exceptional ease of use and high accuracy up to 0.045% for power measurements. The PA910 features a user-friendly high-resolution colour touch screen with 800×480 pixels. The unit is easy to operate and the display can be programmed into a custom display. Just like the other power meters in the PA-900 series, the PA-910 consists of a mainframe with the possibility of up to 4 input channels.
The Vitrek PA910 offers a choice of multiple measuring screens to make specific measurements visible. These are easily accessible through the open menu structure. For example, there is the power measurement screen with numerical displays of standard values such as V, A, Hz, W, VA, VAR and PF. Each channel of the PA910 can take up to 100 measurements per second and log at maximum accuracy. There is also the possibility to perform efficiency measurements and to measure ramp currents. In retrospect, the results can easily be called up for further analysis, both numerically and graphically as a function of time.
The PA910 is equipped with a harmonic analyzer with display up to the 500th harmonic. This makes the power meter extremely suitable for conducting tests on aeronautical electronics where such values are included in the standard. Think of harmonic emission tests EN61000-3-2, 3-12, and 4-7. For this purpose, the PA910 has pre-programmed routines in which the measured spectrum is easily compared with the standard. Also the aviation standards RTCA DO-160E/F/G , Boeing 787B3-0147, Airbus ABD0100.1.8 (A380) and ABD0100.1.8.1 (A350) are integrated.
Specifically for engine controls the PA910 is equipped with the EN60034-2-1:2014 standardization test and for standby power measurements with EN50564:2011.
For detailed study of the measured waveforms, an oscilloscope screen is also available on the PA910. This offers all the possibilities of a digital oscilloscope with zoom function. Another useful addition is the vector diagram. The mutual phase angles and amplitudes of the voltage and current vectors are graphically displayed here.
The Vitrek PA910 can be custom configured with a choice of 3 cards. Depending on the configuration, a module with an internal shunt or an external current clamp can be chosen. These cards offer a power measurement accuracy of 0.045% at a maximum voltage of 1000Vrms and a bandwidth of 2Mhz. Specifically for motor measurements a torque/speed input module is also available.
Data can easily be stored with the USB port on the front of the PA910 and can communicate with LAN, RS232 and USB ports on the back.
For installations where more than 4 channels are required, it is possible to combine multiple mainframes in which the measurement channels are synchronised and all channels can also be used for e.g. efficiency measurements.

ABB
"The ABB Power Grids Jumet organisation is an innovative development and production facility of ABB that manufactures active filters and battery energy storage systems to support a stable grid. To test these systems we have acquired two Cinergia GE/EL +120kVA eplus units capable of doing grid emulation (AC + DC), operating as an electronic load (AC +DC) and being a battery emulator. We have experienced very good support from TTMS in obtaining these two Cinergia units. This included organising an on-site demonstration and supplying loan systems prior to the delivery of our final systems. This way we could start testing as early as possible. TTMS also organised training for the operators from the original manufacturer. This support allowed us to introduce the first battery energy storage systems even prior to the full delivery of the Cinergia systems."

“At the Energy and Environment department of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) of the University of Luxembourg we do have different research projects related to green energy contributing to the development of eco-cities. As a long-standing partner of our research unit, TT&MS has proven that they are able to answer even the most complex questions in a professional manner. They have shown that they are always up to date with the latest technology and do not spare any effort to look at the application and even the situation on site. The exchange of ideas was always very pleasant and took place quickly. We look forward to further years of fruitful cooperation.”
