Spectrum M2i.72xx Series digital pattern generators

  • Up to 40MHz
  • Up to 32 bit
  • -2V to +10V voltage range
  • Up to 2GByte on-board memory

End of live of the Spectrum M2i.72xx series.

The Spectrum M2i.72xx series is replaced by the M4i.77xx series digital I/O card.

Spectrum M2i.72xx

The Spectrum M2i.72xx series of digital pattern generators have an adjustable output voltage level from -2V to +10V (per 4-bit adjustable).
With these voltage levels it is therefore possible to simulate almost all standard digital voltages such as ECL, PECL, TTL, LVDS, LVTTL, CMOS or LVCMOS. There is also the possibility of differential outputs. Depending on the model, you will have up to 32 channels max with which you can configure the card for each 4-bit with respect to the output voltage. Up to 16 cards can be synchronized in one system.

Synchronization with the analogue data acquisition maps from the M2i series is also possible. The maximum sample rate in this series is 40MS/sec. All cards in the M2i.70xx series have a maximum of 2GB on board memory.

The M2i.72xx models are:

 Model #   4-bit   8-bit      16-bit     32-bit
 M2i.7210  10 MS/s  10 MS/s  10 MS/s
 M2i.7211  10 MS/s  10 MS/s  10 MS/s  5 MS/s
 M2i.7220  40 MS/s  40 MS/s  40 MS/s
 M2i.7221  40 MS/s  40 MS/s  40 MS/s  40 MS/s
 M2i.7210-exp  10 MS/s  10 MS/s  10 MS/s
 M2i.7211-exp  10 MS/s  10 MS/s  10 MS/s  5 MS/s
 M2i.7220-exp  40 MS/s  40 MS/s  40 MS/s
 M2i.7221-exp  40 MS/s  40 MS/s  40 MS/s

All Spectrum digital I/O cards also have acquisition modes such as Multiple recording (segmented memory), Gated sampling and sequence mode. Extensive trigger possibilities such as external triggering and pulse width triggering are standard.

The M2i. 72xx cards come with an extensive package of software support. Drivers for Windows and Linux operating systems (32-bit and 64-bit) are included. Example programs and drivers for C/C+++, LabVIEW (Windows), MATLAB (Windows and Linux), LabWindows/CVI, IVI,. NET, Delphi, Visual Basic and Python are available, as well as a basic licence of the Spectrum software SBench 6.
