R&S FPH series Spectrum Rider
|
With the FPH series spectrum rider analyzers, Rohde & Schwarz reaffirms its leading position in this market. This Spectrum Analyzer, which is also called: Spectrum Rider, provides solid RF performance and high accuracy for field and laboratory frequency domain measurements. The large buttons and the touchscreen support the simple navigation.
The instrument has a frequency range of 5 kHz to 2 GHz, which can be extended to 3 or 4 GHz. With a DANL of -160 dBm and a measurement accuracy of typ. 0.5 dB between 10 MHz and 3 GHz, the Spectrum Rider offers the highest RF performance in its class.
The Spectrum Rider is optimized for mobile use. The battery capacity in this lightweight (2.5 kg) appliance has a maximum of 8 hours, which makes it the only instrument of its kind that can be used for a full working day without charging. The backlit keyboard allows users to work in a dark environment and the non-reflective screen supports daylight mode for good readability in direct sunlight. The Spectrum Rider has been field tested according to MIL-PRF-28800F Class 2 and comes with secure interfaces and ports.
The handheld Spectrum Analyzer can be remotely controlled via USB and LAN. With the built-in measuring wizard, measurements can be pre-defined and automated in advance, reducing testing times and also allowing inexperienced engineers with little RF knowledge to reliably perform measurements. Instrument settings and measurement results are stored in a 32 Gbyte microSD card.
The frequency range of the Spectrum Rider can also be extended at a later stage via a software upgrade, which is unique in products of this type. The basic model includes a frequency range of 5 kHz to 2 GHz, which can be increased to 3 or 4 GHz.
The standard FPH series Spectrum Rider units are already quite complete with built-in frequency account, the Pass ? Fail feature, the Measurement Wizard, and USB/LAN control. Optionally available are the preamplifier, Analog Modulation Analysis AM/FM, Power Sensor Support, Power Meter and Pulse Measurements with Power Sensor.
