MI 9332 SERIES FOUR-WIRE DC CURRENT SHUNTS

The MI 9332 series of four-wire DC shunts for measuring precision DC current levels up to 3000A is the latest development from Measurements International. Only after many years of research in low-grade resistance materials, the model 9332 series of standard DC current shunts ensures the best performance available today. Combined with MI’s experience in automated measurements at high current levels, accuracies of less than 0.01% can be achieved at full power.

The shunts consist of specially selected elements. These are soldered to copper ends using a special layer of thermal solder. The element then passes through an annealing process. This ensures the best performance without introducing automatic heating errors with improved temperature coefficients. The shunt is designed to operate at full power in air. This shunt is then covered with a decorative perforated cover. This allows the air to escape during automatic heating and protects the elements from physical damage. The copper ends are specially designed to distribute the current evenly through the elements. This allows the surface to disperse the specified power into the air.

RESISTANCE APPLICATIONS

Special attention has been paid to the process Standard DC Current Shunt or Standard Resistance applications of curing the element and lowering the temperature coefficients. Optimal surface area ensures the discharge of the maximum specified power. The annealing process gives the shunt excellent long-term stability. As a result, these shunts can be used at full power in the air. For better performance as standard resistance, they can be placed in the MI model 9300A Air Bath.

Power connections are made at each end of the shunt, while low thermal potential connectors are used to measure the output voltage. Only the current connector depends on the size of the shunt. Specific values are also available. The 9332-Forced Air assembly is also available for all shunts. The number of fans depends on the length of the shunt.
