The Itech IT6000B is a new series of programmable DC power supplies for higher powers with special features. These DC power supplies are bi-directional and can, therefore, supply as well as absorb current and power. Switching from source to sink is seamless. And with the push of a button, you can switch from bi-directional power supply to regenerative load. This bi-directional power supply (also called two quadrant power supply or unipolar power supply ) is ideal for testing as well as emulating batteries. Solar array simulation for testing PV inverters including MPPT tracking is also possible.
The Itech IT6000B series are available in 6 different voltage ranges; 0-80V, 0-300V, 0-500V, 0-800V, 0-1500V and 0-2250V. The power range runs from 5 kW to 144 kW in more than 56 versions. The maximum current is up to 2040 A. Due to the power flex concept, the maximum power of the IT6000B can be used in a wide range of voltage / current levels.
The IT6000B family offers fast rise and fall times. This is, among other things, useful when emulating batteries. The two quadrant power supply design makes the unit ideal for continuous sink/source applications such as automotive electronics, solar panel I-V curve simulation, DC motors, batteries, and so on. If this bi-directional power supply works as a load, the power absorbed from the DUT is regenerated to be fed back into the mains.
The up/downtime of the IT6000B unipolar power supply is below 15..30ms depending on the load. The transient response time is less than 2ms. Changed setpoints or loads are quickly processed without overshoot. For higher powers, multiple units can be connected in parallel in Master-Slave mode. The excellent performance is maintained. The units are easily programmable and of course have List-mode for storing, calling, and executing program steps.
The IT6000B series power supplies are OVP, OCP, OPP, and OTP secured and come standard with a multitude of interfaces: USB, CAN, LAN, and digital IO interface.
An overview of the versions can be found below.
The IT6000B is widely used for testing automotive electronics, EV battery test, battery simulation (battery test software BSS2000), LED, aerospace, solar panel I-V curve simulation (solar array simulation software SAS1000), military applications, DC-DC converters, inverter voltage drop test, engine start simulation, product life cycle test, Fuel cell emulation ( FCS3000 software) and other applications.

ABB
"The ABB Power Grids Jumet organisation is an innovative development and production facility of ABB that manufactures active filters and battery energy storage systems to support a stable grid. To test these systems we have acquired two Cinergia GE/EL +120kVA eplus units capable of doing grid emulation (AC + DC), operating as an electronic load (AC +DC) and being a battery emulator. We have experienced very good support from TTMS in obtaining these two Cinergia units. This included organising an on-site demonstration and supplying loan systems prior to the delivery of our final systems. This way we could start testing as early as possible. TTMS also organised training for the operators from the original manufacturer. This support allowed us to introduce the first battery energy storage systems even prior to the full delivery of the Cinergia systems."

“At the Energy and Environment department of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) of the University of Luxembourg we do have different research projects related to green energy contributing to the development of eco-cities. As a long-standing partner of our research unit, TT&MS has proven that they are able to answer even the most complex questions in a professional manner. They have shown that they are always up to date with the latest technology and do not spare any effort to look at the application and even the situation on site. The exchange of ideas was always very pleasant and took place quickly. We look forward to further years of fruitful cooperation.”
