IET SCA Series Capacitance Standards
The IET SCA Series Capacitance Standards are very stable cost-effective capacitance standards with a low temperature coefficient, low losses and a wide range of values from 1 pF to 10,000 uF. The cost and flexibility make this our most popular capacitance standard.
From 1 pF to 10 pF: these are made of precision air capacitors. Up to 1 uF, the standard capacitors are made of solid mica capacitors with very high stability to be used as a two or three terminal reference or as a working standard in the laboratory. Above 1 uF they are made with hermetically sealed polypropylene sulphide.
Typical capacitors, which have been observed for decades, have shown random fluctuations of less than + 0.01% in measured capacity with no evidence of systemic drift.
