With the Cinergia EL series ACDC loads, it is possible to switch between an AC load and a DC load. And with the specifications as you know them from the EL AC series and the EL DC series. Due to the 4-quadrant concept of the EL series ACDC loads, the absorbed energy is not dissipated into heat, but returned to the grid. We therefore speak of a regenerative load, which guarantees a high degree of energy savings.
CINERGIA’s advanced DSP technology makes it possible to generate pure capacitive and inductive currents with the EL-AC+DC load, which results in reactive power. This makes this series of loads particularly distinctive and an excellent replacement for R, C, L load banks.
The EL-AC&DC contains three individual “LOAD” channels, which can be used independently of each other. The operation of this electronic load in AC mode is in constant current (CC), constant power (CP) or constant impedance (CI) mode. As DC load Constant voltage (CV), constant current (CC), constant power (CP) or constant resistance (CR) modes are available.
In AC mode the voltage range is 0-277V, L-N, and depending on the model, load currents are adjustable from 10Arms to 230Arms in 3 ch mode, and 30Arms to 690Arms in 1 ch mode.
As DC load the voltage range is 0-750 Vdc (ch-com) or -350 to +350Vdc (ch-ch), and depending on the model, load currents are adjustable from 10Arms to 185Arms in 3 ch mode, and 30Arms to 555Arms in 1 ch mode.
Cinergia’s EL-AC&DC regenerative loads have extensive measurement features and can be controlled both manually and via the standard LAN Ethernet with Modbus/TCP protocol. RS485, RS232 or CANbus communication are available as an option. The specially developed Graphical user interface is standard includeded.
The EL series ACDC loads from Cinergia consists of the following models:
The EL series of Cinergia also carry specific EL AC models and EL DC models.

ABB
"The ABB Power Grids Jumet organisation is an innovative development and production facility of ABB that manufactures active filters and battery energy storage systems to support a stable grid. To test these systems we have acquired two Cinergia GE/EL +120kVA eplus units capable of doing grid emulation (AC + DC), operating as an electronic load (AC +DC) and being a battery emulator. We have experienced very good support from TTMS in obtaining these two Cinergia units. This included organising an on-site demonstration and supplying loan systems prior to the delivery of our final systems. This way we could start testing as early as possible. TTMS also organised training for the operators from the original manufacturer. This support allowed us to introduce the first battery energy storage systems even prior to the full delivery of the Cinergia systems."

“At the Energy and Environment department of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) of the University of Luxembourg we do have different research projects related to green energy contributing to the development of eco-cities. As a long-standing partner of our research unit, TT&MS has proven that they are able to answer even the most complex questions in a professional manner. They have shown that they are always up to date with the latest technology and do not spare any effort to look at the application and even the situation on site. The exchange of ideas was always very pleasant and took place quickly. We look forward to further years of fruitful cooperation.”
