The Chroma 6330A series modular DC loads consists of a 19-inch mainframe containing 4 slots and is therefore extremely suitable for realizing a galvanically separated, multichannel load of 1 to 8 channels.
The 6330A series is similar to the 6310A series, but now in a special high speed version. The improved CPU clock, baud rate, etc. contribute to a faster operation, which is especially reflected in automated ATE setups. The 6330A can therefore contribute to a faster production test and positively influence lead times.
With the 6330A series, the user has a choice of 8 different plugin modules with power ratings from 300W to 1200W and currents from 0,5mA to 240A. The voltage ranges are between 0.5 mV to 500V. The loads operate in CC, CV, CR and CP mode and can be connected in parallel to achieve a higher current or power.
The modular DC loads from the 6330A series are ideally suited for realizing dynamic load profiles up to 20 kHz. Characteristic are the many programmable parameters such as slew rate, load level, duration and conducting voltage. Multiple 6300 mainframes can be synchronized to load any number of load channels. A 16-bit measuring circuit ensures accurate real-time measurements of voltage and current.
Especially for testing LED drivers, Chroma has developed a load module for the 6330A series. With the 63310A LED load module it is possible to simulate LED load characteristics. Because of the extra high bandwidth of this module, this LED load is suitable for PWM dimming tests.
For the 6330A series various software tools are also available, as well as the Labview drivers.

"The ABB Power Grids Jumet organisation is an innovative development and production facility of ABB that manufactures active filters and battery energy storage systems to support a stable grid. To test these systems we have acquired two Cinergia GE/EL +120kVA eplus units capable of doing grid emulation (AC + DC), operating as an electronic load (AC +DC) and being a battery emulator.
