The Chroma 61500 series single-phase AC power supplies range from 500 VA to more than 90 kVA in the high power single and three phase units.
The directly coupled output stage makes it possible to generate DC and AC+DC output voltages in these units as well as AC. The frequency is adjustable from 15 Hz to 1 kHz. The output voltage is divided over two ranges; 0-150 Vrms and 0-300 Vrms. In DC mode this means 0-212 Vdc or 0-424 Vdc. The maximum current doubles in the low voltage range. Due to the high crest factor, the unit can also be used in combination with capacitive loads with short high peak currents.
There is also a possibility to set a slew rate for the voltage and frequency for specific tests. All Chroma AC power supplies have a separate measuring function for U, I, Hz, W, VA, VAR and PF.
Do you need a power analyser for your application? TTMS also has an extensive range of power meters. Using a master/slave configuration, a three-phase network can also be created with these ac power supplies.
Characteristic for the Chroma 61500 series is the ability to consciously simulate disturbances.
This can be voltage dips of a certain percentage for a certain duration, as well as sinuses with a certain harmonic distortion.
For small amplitudes this increases to frequencies of 2400Hz. This makes this series of AC power supplies also suitable for pre-compliance tests for Harmonics according to IEC 61000-3-2, Flicker according to IEC 61000-3-3, and immunity tests according to IEC 61000-4-13/-4-14/-4-28. The output impedance of the 61500 series is adjustable.
Through an optional digital interface (RS232 + GPIB or USB + LAN) and the free soft panel software, the unit is controllable and readable. Labview drivers are also available if you want to integrate the unit in your own test setup.
In addition, there are 3000VA, 4500VA and 6000kVA models that can work both single-phase and three-phase. (3x 1000VA, 3x 1500VA or 3x 2000VA)
