The Technix CCR series capacitor chargers 150 J/s to 1,5 kJ/s are programmable high-voltage DC power supplies, which function as a power source. The CCR series is suitable for applications where relatively fast and large voltage variations occur, such as repetitive charge and discharge cycles in capacitor configurations. Available in models from 150 J/s to 1,5 kJ/sec in different voltage ranges from 0-1 kV to 0-200 kV. The CCR series is only suitable for a capacitive load.
The Technix capacitor chargers and HV power supplies are characterized by the application of double resonance technology and have many advantages, such as compact design, reliability and robustness. The CCR series is protected against Audio Return Channel (ARC), short circuit and excessive temperature and is equipped with a remote inhibit & interlock and safety switch. The CCR series itself has a particularly low energy storage which guarantees a rehearsal rate of 1 kHz and even higher than that.
Both the CCR series capacitor chargers and the SR series high-voltage power supplies are available with a positive or negative output. Also, in certain situations the floating and reversible option is also possible. Applications include Capacitor Charging, Modulators, Excimer lasers, X Ray Radiation Therapy, Flash lamps process and many other industrial, medical and scientific applications.

"The ABB Power Grids Jumet organisation is an innovative development and production facility of ABB that manufactures active filters and battery energy storage systems to support a stable grid. To test these systems we have acquired two Cinergia GE/EL +120kVA eplus units capable of doing grid emulation (AC + DC), operating as an electronic load (AC +DC) and being a battery emulator.
