The AimTTi PFM3000 portable frequency counter offers high sensitivity over the entire frequency range from 3 Hz to 3 GHz. Period times from 8 ns to 330 ms can be measured.
The PFM3000 offers high sensitivity frequency measurement from 3Hz to over 3GHz in two overlapping ranges. By means of a period measurement, period times from 8ns up to 330ms can be measured. The PFM3000 uses a continuous reciprocal measurement technique to provide high resolution on all frequencies with fast update.
It offers high sensitivity over the entire frequency range. A low-pass filter can be selected to reduce the noise of the high-frequency signal at lower frequencies.
Despite its compact size, the PFM3000 has a large 8.5-digit LCD. Annunciators are provided for measuring function, time, overflow, trigger activity, low battery and measuring units.
Despite its wide frequency range, the PFM3000 has a power consumption that is
makes it possible to work many hours with a PP3 battery.
A push-to-measure function provides an instant reading, followed by
an automatic shutdown after 15 seconds. This ensures a very extensive
battery life when continuous monitoring of the signal is not required.
The PFM3000 has the performance needed for many bench-top applications, and the built-in tilt stand puts the display at a convenient angle.

"The ABB Power Grids Jumet organisation is an innovative development and production facility of ABB that manufactures active filters and battery energy storage systems to support a stable grid. To test these systems we have acquired two Cinergia GE/EL +120kVA eplus units capable of doing grid emulation (AC + DC), operating as an electronic load (AC +DC) and being a battery emulator.
