The Quantum Data 780D is no longer available and has been replaced by the Quantum Data 780E.

The Quantum Data 780D is a portable test tool for multimedia applications. The 780D is based on an HDMI 2.0 video generator and output, an HDBaseT in and output and a VGA output for RGB signals and YCbCr. Through the HDMI output (600MHz clock) single link DVI can also be outputted (up to 165MHz). There is also an audio signal generator provided.

The unit is designed in a robust housing, so that you can also carry out extensive field or remote testing. Operation is easy with the 7 inch touch screen.
On the input side, it is also checked whether the offered format complies with the different standards. In case of a deviation from the standard, this is also displayed in the format analyzer screen. All common formats for both TV and PC monitors are provided as standard. You can also choose from more than 30 different test images, including 3D test images. If this is not sufficient, you can also create your own test images in the form of a bitmap image. EDID, HDCP (1.4 and 2.2) and CEC testing are standard. Auto EDID is an option to test whether the source can handle this with alternating EDID. Thanks to the 780D’s large screen, the two lower lines give you a consistent view of the size of the incoming video signals and the transmitted video signals.

There is a cable test option, which allows you to test a complete connection (including repeaters, extenders, etc.) for quality. If you want to actually (passive) look along with the I2C communication between sink and source, then the Auxillary Channel analyzer is a good option.
