The Quantum Data 280G is end of life and replaced by the Quantum Data 780E.

The unit is built in a robust housing and supplied with a battery power supply, so you can also perform remote testing. Operation is easy with the 4.3 inch touch screen. All common formats for both TV and PC monitors are available. You can also choose from more than 30 different test images.

As an HDMI 4K video source, the Quantum Data 280G can control different video resolutions and video settings. You can also check the voltage of the Hot Plug and verify that a valid EDID of the display is available. HDCP can also be verified with HDCP 1.4 or HDCP 2.2.
If you experience problems, you can segment the parts of the video network and use the 280G Tx per segment to perform further tests at different points in the network. In this case, the generator can be used as either an HDMI or HDBaseT source. This also allows you to test HDBaseT cable extenders.
In combination with the 280A video analyzer it is possible to create a complete video network test. By placing the 280G as a video source at the starting point from the network and the 280A analyser at the end of it, you get a good test of the quality of the cables and any cable extenders.
(For detailed information, also see the 280A video analyzer unit.)
