The Meatest M9000 is a new, portable all-round multifunction calibrator and is part of this supplier’s now impressive line of electrical calibration standards.

With a basic accuracy of 60ppm, this all-round multifunction calibrator is particularly suitable for the calibration of 3½ and 4½ digit multimeters. The output voltage and output current is adjustable over 6 ranges within 0 – 1,050V and 0 – 20.5A for both DC and AC.

Compared to the previously introduced model M143, the M9000 distinguishes itself with a wider frequency range and a capacitance function. Furthermore, there are functions for resistance, frequency up to 20MHz and temperature-related TC, and RTD simulation. Its relatively small dimensions and low weight make the M-9000 ideally suited for the mobile calibration lab and for on-site use. The focus is on the calibration or verification of, multimeters, transducers, measurement amplifiers and thermometers. The new LoZ function (compliance voltage) contributes to a wider workload on panel meters, among others.

As standard, this unit has a USB and Ethernet interface, and an optional GPIB interface is also available. The M9000 is fully compatible with the Meatest calibration software Caliber/ WinQBase.

"The ABB Power Grids Jumet organisation is an innovative development and production facility of ABB that manufactures active filters and battery energy storage systems to support a stable grid. To test these systems we have acquired two Cinergia GE/EL +120kVA eplus units capable of doing grid emulation (AC + DC), operating as an electronic load (AC +DC) and being a battery emulator.
