In the past it was generally assumed that the so-called AC bridges guaranteed a lower noise specification than a DC version. The microK DC bridge uses parallel process technology which shows similar, if not better, noise specifications as an AC bridge.

The microK GOLD will be calibrated on an automatic ratio bridge so we can also guarantee the specification of 30ppb. "The ABB Power Grids Jumet organisation is an innovative development and production facility of ABB that manufactures active filters and battery energy storage systems to support a stable grid. To test these systems we have acquired two Cinergia GE/EL +120kVA eplus units capable of doing grid emulation (AC + DC), operating as an electronic load (AC +DC) and being a battery emulator.
