Introduction Cinergia GE+ Series CINERGIA’s Grid Emulators are AC programmable voltage sources especially designed to create AC grids and emulate its disturbances. Thanks to its bidirectional power hardware, the test energy can be regenerated to the electrical grid.
Applications Grid emulators are designed to emulate Electrical Grids in AC. The equipment is 4-quadrant regenerative, so the energy can be re-injected to the power grid. Thanks to this regenerative concept it is ideal as test solution for PV inverters, microGrid simulation and energy saving applications.
Features As an AC programmable voltage source, it can create different electrical networks such as three phase power grid (3F+N) from 0 to 480Vac, power grid with variable frequency from 0 to 400Hz and 400Hz aeronautic network. In addition it can create disturbances for testing purposes as voltage harmonics, up to 15th independent per phase, Flickers (programmable amplitude and frequency), Overvoltage, Interruptions and voltage dips (balanced and unbalanced), Programmable variations in frequency and Programmable Z Impedance of grid.
The new + model features The newly developed controller board simplifies norm testing, such as SEMI F47 and IEC-61000-4-11, greatly. New are the analog inputs where the output of the converter will be the same waveform as the analog input. This enables the use of the GE+ units as amplifier.
Available models and output voltages The GE+ AC series ranges from 7.5kVA to 1200kVA. The output voltage (L-N) can be set from 0 to 277Vrms and (L-L) from 0 to 480Vrms with a base frequency of 10 to 400Hz.

ABB
"The ABB Power Grids Jumet organisation is an innovative development and production facility of ABB that manufactures active filters and battery energy storage systems to support a stable grid. To test these systems we have acquired two Cinergia GE/EL +120kVA eplus units capable of doing grid emulation (AC + DC), operating as an electronic load (AC +DC) and being a battery emulator. We have experienced very good support from TTMS in obtaining these two Cinergia units. This included organising an on-site demonstration and supplying loan systems prior to the delivery of our final systems. This way we could start testing as early as possible. TTMS also organised training for the operators from the original manufacturer. This support allowed us to introduce the first battery energy storage systems even prior to the full delivery of the Cinergia systems."

“At the Energy and Environment department of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) of the University of Luxembourg we do have different research projects related to green energy contributing to the development of eco-cities. As a long-standing partner of our research unit, TT&MS has proven that they are able to answer even the most complex questions in a professional manner. They have shown that they are always up to date with the latest technology and do not spare any effort to look at the application and even the situation on site. The exchange of ideas was always very pleasant and took place quickly. We look forward to further years of fruitful cooperation.”
