High power blocking diode module for MagnaPower DC power supplies

For Magna-Power DC power supplies, where an integrated blocking diode (option +BD) is not available or desired, the +BDx Module offers a turn-key rack-mount solution with the following specifications;

  • Fully integrated and closed heatsink and fan cooling
  • Suitable for voltages up to 1,200Vdc and currents up to 1,200A
  • User I/O status feedback including temperature alarm status
  • Remote sensing terminal
  • Universal single-phase active-Power Factor Correction

The +BD and +BDx options are recommended for applications where significant energy return may occur and where the occurring DC voltage may exceed the output voltage of the power supply. Examples of such applications are DC motors/drives, battery and capacitor loads and electromagnets.

Magna-Power’s product line includes no less than 500+ standard programmable DC power supplies in the power range from 1.5kW to 3.000kW+, in a voltage range from 0-5Vdc to 0-10.000Vdc and a current range from 0.2Adc to 24.000Adc!

Control of these power supplies is possible via the front panel, via LXI TCP/IP Ethernet, IEEE-488 GPIB, USB and RS-485 or via a 37 pin isolated analogue I/O.
