An 800kVA Grid Emulator/Battery Emulator

Impressive. That was the first thing that occurred to TTMS consultant André Handgraaf. An acceptance test of an 800kVA Grid Emulator / Battery emulator. Emulation of an 800kVA AC grid with freely programmable harmonic (up to the 50th) but also voltage dips, imbalance in the three phases and other grid pollution.

The same installation can also be switched to a DC power / DC load with a voltage range up to 1500V and battery emulation.

The customer in this case is a manufacturer of Electrical Vehicle charging stations for fast charging of buses and trucks. With this installation we can test both the mains side and the charging side. In the long run it is the wish to expand the installation to 1600kVA or more.
