192 channel datalogger

192 CHANNEL DATALOGGER

TTMS delivered a 192 channel datalogger system to one of its customers. The system is intended to measure the voltage and current distribution in a large production machine for the semiconductor industry.

The system consists of 12 PCI cards with 16 input channels each, built in an industrial PC. In the PC we placed a 30TB HD system and a graphics card for four high resolution HDMI monitors. The PCI cards have a 16-bit A/D converter with an internal memory of 2GB and a maximum sampling frequency of 100k samples per second. All 192 channels are, seen in time, fully synchronized.

The setup is divided into 80 AC power channels, 16 AC voltage channels, 48 AC/DC power channels and 48 DC voltage channels. All current probes and voltage probes are made to customer specification. For example, the AC/DC current probes are supplied with a combined signal / power cable where the 9V power supply for these probes comes from a central DC power supply. So there is no need to constantly change batteries or use 48, 9V adapters. We have also done this for the AC differential voltage probes.

With this setup the customer can stream the data from the 192 channels to the Hard Disk at maximum sample frequency. And this for up to more than 9 days. In this way, the influence of voltage / current disturbances in one branch of the power distribution in relation to the other branches of the distribution network can be investigated in a simple way.
